Since 1985, Mahakali Fuel Private Limited has built a name for itself as a trusted, fast-growing player in India's coal trading industry. Under the guidance of Mr. P.N. Doshi, the company built decades of expertise in supplying Steam Coal to industries across the country.
We started our steam coal business in 1985 under the headship of our mentor Mr. P.N. Doshi. With his industrial expertise and vision, we achieved excellence in supplying steam coal to industries across India. His enterprising skills helped us establish a strong foothold in the coal trading industry and stand among the most reliable coal suppliers in the country.
Under the leadership of Mr. Kalpesh P. Doshi, we started dealing in imported coal in 2003. This significant step widened our product portfolio and strengthened our position as a comprehensive coal supplier in India — offering high-quality imported coal to meet the growing demands of industries across the country.
Riding the momentum of our imported coal business, we expanded those operations further in 2005, bringing in Indonesian coal across 0 to 50 mm and 25 to 50 mm grades. That gave industries a wider set of imported coal options to match their specific requirements and applications.
July 2013 was a milestone year. We closed our proprietorship firms (Manan Corporation and Mahakali Sales Corporation), and diverted our entire business into our newly incorporated company, M/s Mahakali Fuel Private Limited. This marked a major milestone in our growth journey, giving our operations a stronger and more structured corporate foundation.
Today we supply 50,000 MT of coal every year to Power Plants, Chemical Plants, Textile Plants, and Edible Oil Plants across Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka. Our teams at Dharamtar Port, Karanja Port, and Khopoli Coal Yard work around the clock — every single day — to make sure supply never stops. We have also launched Bio Coal Pallets to support India’s Green Energy goals and are pushing hard to take our supply capacity to 80,000 MT in the near future.

Biocoal is prepared from biomass and agricultural residue, processed into a dense, coal-like form that burns cleanly and holds heat well.
Pellet fuel comes from compressed biomass, mainly farm waste such as husk, straw and sawdust.
If you work in an industry that runs on coal, you already know why imported coal is in such demand across India.
Indonesia has been one of the world’s largest coal exporters for years now, and a big reason Indian industries lean on it is consistency.
Briquette and pellet fuels are made by compressing agricultural and industrial waste like sawdust, husk, straw and bagasse into solid, dense blocks or small round pieces.
If you’ve ever dealt with coal that clumps together while burning and clogs up a furnace grate, you’ll know why non coking steam coal is preferred for continuous industrial use.
